Total seems to be marginally competent with basic services. My wife and I have spent a fair amount here in the past year after I acquired a disability in an accident. I’m even willing to look past grease on seats, smudges on headliners, or small questionable charges. Nothing is perfect and people need to make money. My car was recently dropped off due to a suspected wheel bearing issue (~$500 repair). Total diagnosed it as a much more significant $1,500+ job. Unfortunately, this was a misdiagnosis that had no effect on the car’s obvious symptoms. Even after their mechanic later confirmed my original diagnosis was correct, they doubled down on the unnecessary job and quoted full price to perform the repair I’d requested in the first place. If professional services are improperly rendered, do you expect a make-good remedy or arrogant gaslighting?
